Jackie Harland is a renowned UK Speech and Language Therapist who has been in pediatrics for over 30 years. She has set up and run multidisciplinary centres and early years provisions both in the UK, and internationally. Currently the Clinical Director at the Riverston Group, Jackie is a regular speaker at international conferences and has co-written and taught a postgraduate Masters programme in Special Educational Needs accredited by Anglia Ruskin University in the UK.
Jackie has an MA in Early Childhood Education and co-developed an early years framework and online profiling tool that enables early years practitioners identify children’s needs at an early stage and gives them next steps programmes to support each child reaching their full potential. She is used by many law firms as an expert witness in medico-legal cases.

Meg graduated with her Master and Bachelor of Science Degrees from the University of Arizona, USA. She received her Clinical Certification from the American Speech Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) in 1984 and has been working as a director/therapist of speech pathology programs in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, clinics, and school facilities for the past 30 years.
She has practiced as a speech and language pathologist in Dubai since 2001. Her primary focus has been with children and adults who have had a variety of communication disorders. She has had extensive experience with developmental delays, dyspraxia, traumatic brain injury, CVA, voice disorders, autistic spectrum disorders, Down syndrome, stuttering, dysphagia, cleft palate, auditory processing disorders, phonological difficulties and articulation disorders. Meg is a PROMPT trained therapist. She maintains her certification with the American Speech- Language Hearing Assoc., is a registered speech/ language pathologist in the United States, and is a licensed speech and language therapist in Dubai.
Hannah Prince, MRCSLT MHCPC
Speech and Language Therapist
Hannah graduated from the University of Sheffield as a Speech and Language Therapist in 2012. Since qualifying she has worked as a paediatric Speech and Language Therapist in Brighton, England, gaining a wealth of experience working with children with a wide range of speech and language difficulties.
Hannah has additional training in Attention Autism, Michael Palin PCI Stammering intervention, Derbyshire Language Scheme, Makaton as well as assistant level dysphagia training. Hannah is a registered member of the Health Care Professionals Council and the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists. Outside of work Hannah enjoys running, yoga and enjoying the sun in Dubai.
Gurkamal (Kamal) Punia Dasani, BSc. OT

Lead Applied Behavior Analysis Therapist
Kamal is a certified and licensed Occupational Therapist in the UAE and Australia. She completed her Bachelor’s degree at Curtin University of Technology in Perth (Australia) and began her practice in occupational therapy in 2006. Since then, Kamal has furthered her clinical expertise through certifications in Vision Therapy and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy, along with training in Dyslexia. Her vision therapy training was completed in 2014 at the Neurosensory Center of Eastern Pennsylvania (USA) under the supervision of Dr. Jeffery Becker.
With over 10 years of international experience in assessment and treatment of children in Australia, Hong Kong, and China, along with her specialization in paediatric services and vision therapy, Kamal offers invaluable expertise to Dubai’s community at Riverston Children’s Centre. She has served children with a wide range of needs and conditions, such as Cerebral Palsy, Downs Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Physical Disability, Intellectual Disability, Sensory Processing Disorder, and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. She has also worked in elderly health care and mental health settings, used a multidisciplinary team approach in clinic and school-based pediatric disability services, and practiced hand therapy.
As an active professional in the UAE, Kamal regularly supports community awareness and education. She has presented at conferences and provided lectures and workshops in multiple forums for health professionals, teachers, parents, and caregivers. Her passion for helping children reach their potential and supporting parents in the region lead her to begin her own project known as Therapybox Australia. This online store not only makes paediatric educational toys and therapy resources easily available, but also serves parents as a convenient source for professional advice and informational blogs.

Karen graduated as an Occupational Therapist from the University of South Australia in 2000. Since this time she has worked with children with special needs both in her home country of Australia and internationally. Over the years she has developed a particular interest in working with children with autism, and since 2010 has been involved in establishing services and supports for children with autism in Tajikistan.
In Australia Karen has worked in both the government and non-government sector in community-based teams that have provided support to children at home or in their educational setting. She enjoys working in partnership with families and teachers to find innovative solutions to everyday challenges that children experience.
Karen feels strongly about working from strengths-based approach to therapy that enables children and others in their lives to recognize their strengths and understand how to use these to promote development in other areas. She feels privileged to have learnt from the children and families that she has worked with over the years, and continually seeks to find new and meaningful ways of supporting children in her role as an Occupational Therapist.
Kristen Mason M.A., CCC-SLP

Kristen graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma State University, USA in 2013 and with her Master of Arts degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Houston, USA in 2015. She has also obtained her Clinical Certificate as a Speech and Language Pathologist from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
She has worked as a pediatric Speech and Language Pathologist in Houston, Texas, USA in the mainstream schools with children with a variety of speech and language difficulties. She is passionate about helping children utilize strategies to develop functional communication skills. She has experience working with children with phonological and articulation disorders, language impairments, fluency disorders, autism spectrum disorder, learning disabilities, and intellectual disabilities. She strongly values multidisciplinary and parent collaboration in order to maximize a child’s potential across all environments. In her free time, Kristen enjoys travelling, reading, watching movies, and she recently got her scuba certification.

Early Intervention Programme
Grace graduated from Kingston University London in 2012 with a Master of Science in Psychology, prior to this she completed her Bachelor degree in Psychology and Sociology at the National University of Ireland Galway. Grace also undertook training in Early Years education and worked in Pre school settings in Ireland where she gained a wealth of experience teaching children 0-6 years old.
In addition to early experience Grace also spent time working with teenagers and adults in a rehabilitation centre for people with acquired brain injuries and intellectual disabilities. This provided invaluable experience of a person centered approach and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
During her study, Grace completed research based on children with autism, this is where she developed a keen interest in working with children with additional needs. Grace has a passion for Early Years education and believes that every child should have access to the highest level of education that will aid them to reach their full potential.
Since moving to Dubai Grace has worked in Nurseries and Early Years settings taking on roles ranging from class teacher to centre manager. Grace has undertaken training in and implemented various curricula including EYFS British Curriculum, IPC (International Preschool Curriculum) and CCSS (American Common Core).
